Roo’s voice leads Dirty Kennels, but his life gave the band its name. He’s a former American Ninja Warrior, a lifelong dog rescuer, and a man who pulls animals from the rubble. Wallace, his IDC champion pit bull, still echoes in the songs. Roo doesn’t talk about himself much; he’s too busy driving, climbing, lifting, or saving something. But when he sings, you hear it all.

Steven plays guitar for Dirty Kennels and has been trying to figure out whether tone comes from the fingers, the heart, or the void. Raised on rock, soul, salsa, tango, and Colombian folk, he eventually found his voice in the nylon strings of the classical guitar. His solos often sound like a memory trying to remember itself. He's probably lost in a YouTube rabbit hole about metaphysics or EQ curves when he's not playing.

Nick the Drummer plays cajón, doumbek, and full kit like he’s summoning weather. He’s a poet with a pulse, a percussionist with purpose, and the unapologetic owner of a single unwashed wig. His voice sometimes drifts into the mix—soft, raw, and perfectly timed. He's the type to start dance circles when no one asks. Every show is a ritual, and Nick is the high priest of rhythm.

Mark is the bassist for Dirty Kennels and the only person in the band who genuinely enjoys counting in 11. His feel for groove is entirely natural, like he was born mid-syncopation. He doesn’t read music, but he reads the room—then makes it laugh. His playing is tight, strange, and always exactly where it should be, even when no one else knows where that is.

Travis is the cellist for Dirty Kennels and possibly the band’s only adult. He studied the old ways—Bach, breathing, bowing—and now uses them to create subtle emotional architecture beneath the chaos. He says little, plays clean, and drinks well. He’s been avoiding conversations since the late 1900s and shows no signs of stopping.
